Retaining wall cleaning on the Sunshine Coast

Block retaining walls lose their colour under mould and grime — usually on the shady side of the yard. We bring them back without chewing out the joints.

What’s involved

Clean blocks, joints left intact

Retaining walls tend to sit in the damp, shaded parts of a yard — exactly where mould and algae grow. Over time a light-coloured block wall turns streaky green and black.

Walls are done by hand with the lance. The trick is matching the pressure and distance to the block, so the grime comes off and the mortar joints stay where they are.

We’ll look at the wall when we quote and tell you straight what result to expect.

Common questions

Retaining Wall Cleaning FAQs

How much does retaining wall cleaning cost on the Sunshine Coast?

It depends on the size of the wall, the surface and how much grime has built up, so every job is quoted individually rather than off a price list.

Quotes are free and there's no obligation. Call or text 0450 357 617, or send the quote form with a rough size and what the surface is made of.

Will pressure washing damage my retaining wall joints?

Not when it’s done with care. We match the pressure and distance to the block so the grime comes off without chewing out the mortar joints. If the joints are already crumbling, point it out when you get your quote.

What’s the black and green stuff on my retaining wall?

Usually mould, algae and general grime. Retaining walls often sit in shaded, damp parts of the yard where it grows easily, and it builds up over time until the block loses its colour.

Can you clean the path or slab in front of the wall too?

Yes — paths, pavers and slabs are one of our standard services. Ask for both when you request a quote.
